Sehwag smashes highest ODI score

It took nearly 40 years for a batsman to score the first double-century in one-day international cricket. The second didn't even take two more. Virender Sehwag, the batsman most touted to break Sachin Tendulkar's record for the highest individual ODI score, didn't merely break it. He shattered it, and raised the bar so high that it's hard to imagine anyone, apart from Sehwag himself, raising it higher. Unlike Tendulkar in Gwalior, Sehwag wasn't running out of time as he raced towards 200 in Indore. He got there in the 44th over, and had made 219 off 149 balls by the time he was dismissed in the 47th. And in one of cricket's stranger coincidences, both ODI double-centuries were scored in the same Indian state - Madhya Pradesh - at venues less than 500 kilometres apart.

Sehwag's record-breaking performance led India to 418 for 5, their highest ODI total, and all but ensured India would extend their 2-1 lead and win the series against West Indies. It was an innings characteristic of Sehwag's approach to batting. He hit his second ball for four and simply did not stop. He took plenty of risks too, surviving two run-out chances and two dropped catches, but thundered on, ensuring India's run-rate stayed above seven after the 15th over. Sehwag's only out-of-character moment came in the 20th over, when he dived to avoid being run out. Sehwag never dives. It was a sign that he was determined to stay the course. He went to 50 off 41 balls, to 100 off 69 balls, to 150 off 112 and past 200 off 140. He broke Tendulkar's record with a withering cut that sped to the backward-point boundary, and celebrated fittingly with an aggressive fist-pump before breaking into a smile.

But Ash (and Mother Nature) did not oblige When Aishwarya Rai was spotted on Monday night at Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai , with father in law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan it was now predicted that the baby would show on November 14 or November 15. But she left the hospital the same day after a regular check up. She arrived the next day again with her family in tow and got admitted. Though television journalists opted for restraint and did not cover the event a few press photographers clicked her entering the hospital. So was November 15 going to be the Big (B) Day? Nope. Ash skipped November 15 and the wee little girl arrived early morning November 16.

Sri Ramarajyam movie is based on Uttara Ramayanam, i.e., Lava Kusa. In which, Bala Krishna is going play lord Rama in a film and Nayantara will portray the role of Sitadevi.

While dialogues are being written by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, Kamal Kannan, who won national award for his remarkable work in ‘Magadheera’, is going to handle visual effects, PRK Raju is the cinematographer, art director Ravindra will design the sets, editing will be done by GG Krishna Rao and the music is being scored by Ilayaraja. This is the 2nd film in Bapu and Ilayaraja combination, after the super duper hit film ‘Mantrigaari Viyyankudu’.

Mamta mohandas Wedding On Dece-28

Mamta Mohandas, the Malayali belle who proved her mettle as an actress and singer in number of films in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil is all set to tie nuptial knot.
She is going to wed her childhood friend and Bahrain-based businessman Prajith Padmanabhan. Their wedding will be held at a resort in Calicut on December 28.
The couple are planning to host a reception to all their friends from films and media on December 30.

Riteish Deshmukh and Geneliya marriage on Feb 4th

Riteish Deshmukh and Geneliya , who were in love for the past nine years, will get married on February 4, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency, Mumbai booked for three days for the wedding.

Abhishek Chaubey’s film Ishqiya starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi was a hit at the box office and received rave reviews from the critics. A sequel to the film has been planned and the script is ready.
For reasons unknown, Vidya Balan refused to be part of the Ishqiya sequel titled Dedh Ishqiya. She is said to be having date problems because of her forthcoming film Dirty Picture based on Silk Smitha’s life.
There was news that Rani Mukherjee might star in the sequel. There was also a buzz that Madhuri Dixit may be considered. However, director Abhishek Chaubey confirmed Kangana Ranaut and she has signed on the dotted line.
